In fall, at the end of September, Laurentian forest adorn with brilliant colors. It's the best time for hiking. The Montagne du Diable's massif, at the bottom of which I'm located, is provided with a well organized trails and mountain huts network. 2 to 4 days excursions are possible.

Approximately 90 miles south-east is the Montagne Noire's massif where my family owns a cabin and where I can organize a 3 to 4 days outing. During this period it's possible to combine hiking and canoeing.

Cross country skiing / Snowshoes

In winter, Montagne du Diable and Montagne Noire offer the same possibilities but with cross country skis or snow shoes.
